You may have heard the expression that the greenest building decision you make is in deciding what not to build. This is especially true with a Casita Verde home. What you don’t build, you don’t have to heat, cool, and light. Clever design solutions make these small dwellings feel right by avoiding duplication of spaces and making spaces multifunctional.

These smaller (less than 1,400 SF) homes can be used as a primary residence, an accessory dwelling unit to a primary home (casita), or a cabin property. Use them however you like.

A basic Casita Verde home will cost very little to operate and all homes are capable of achieving net-zero status (producing as much energy as they use on an annual basis) with the addition of photovoltaic and solar thermal panels.
